what do you do during the day to prepare for a lucidity attempt? We all probably do something different or maybe even similar things during the day to prepare for a lucidity Attempt. I’m curious to see what everyone does during the day to prepare to attempt to have a lucid dream.

I started with a technique that may sound extremely stupid (stupid, bruh!) but somehow I think this could work - at least for me.
Thanks to my daughter I learned about a series called Mia and Me - Legend Of Centopia. Centopia is basically a colorful world with lots of elves, unicorns and other creatures, some good, some evil - getting in trouble all the time. If so, they call out for Mia, a teenage girl from the "real world" with a magical bracelet. If this rings, she has to tell the password and is teleported into Centopia immediately to help out.
Now, I have a bracelet for myself and everytime I'm going to sleep I tell my password.
Into a bracelet of artificial leather. Like a lunatic.
But, as a father, I know Centopia and all of it's inhabitants very well. So I thought, why not call my dreamworld Centopia and fall asleep with the intention to wake up there, fly around, save some unicorns and stuff.
So, over the day, I think about my Centopia and the trouble there. At night I'll be there to help.
I'll let you know if it works. And when I'm released from madhouse.
Cheers, Panthea.
Definitely no such thing as zombie posts here. Lucid dreaming is a slow moving subject and the same questions and ideas pop up again and again, so please feel free to respond to any post however old ... It will always be useful to someone!
Apologies for replying on a zombie post if that's frowned upon.
What I do is RC as much as possible, both keeping and not keeping an eye out for any dream signs. To me, consciously looking is as good as the 'are you really truly paying attention to your surroundings? Surprise! Dream sign"! moments. Keeps me a lot more attentive to all that's around me.
And I do my best to "imagine and practice" how I would like /want my lucid dream to go. (now I'm not sure if doing that is within the same zone of 'dream control' or if it's more 'planting the seed and really watering it' because to me it feels like it falls under both. May be awake but I'm also setting up an intention of imaginary control of my future lucid. Lol I hope I worded that right.
I also write my journal as current tense (I am walking down the road and I see the....) and also have taken to rewriting some how I WISH they would have gone and what should have happened instead.
Note: the only lucid I had, I did absolutely nothing at all. I just suddenly plooped into a LD and had fun breathing thru my nose etc. Sometimes I wonder if for me, it's best to focus on a ton of LD work for many months - then stop fully for a while. That's what happened when I had my first (and only so far) LD.
Other than Reality Checks, watching the streams and writing and reviewing my journal, not much. Sometimes I read books and daydream a bit but waking life tends to soak up a lot of time if course.
If I have a specific goal (which is often a good approach), I'll think about the goals and how I'll achieve them. That can also get you motivated - by vividly imagining achieving your goal.
I also revisit what has worked for me recently and in best case scenarios.
