Daniel Love YouTube Channel Community Rules

These rules exist to maintain a respectful, intelligent, and constructive community for everyone interested in lucid dreaming and related subjects.

Please read these guidelines carefully before posting comments, joining live chats, or participating in community posts.

1. Respect for All Community Members

Treat everyone - including myself, moderators, and fellow viewers - with courtesy and respect. I invest significant time and effort creating free educational content. Any rude, dismissive, or disrespectful behaviour toward me, my moderators, or other community members will result in immediate comment removal and may lead to a permanent ban.

Polite disagreement is always welcome; rudeness or hostility is not. The comment section is for discussion, not for venting frustration or taking cheap shots.

2. Zero Tolerance for Harassment, Abuse, or Disrespect

Abusive, hateful, threatening, discriminatory, or otherwise disrespectful comments (as determined at my discretion) will result in:

• Immediate comment deletion

• Permanent ban from all commenting and live chat participation
   

This applies to all users equally, including paid channel members.

 

Harassment or abuse includes, but is not limited to:
 

• Personal attacks, sarcasm intended to belittle, or name-calling

• Dismissive or condescending remarks toward me, moderators, or other commenters

• Hate speech, discrimination, or targeted intimidation

• Attempts to undermine or insult my work, credentials, or credibility

• Any behaviour that contributes to a hostile or unpleasant environment

 

You do not need to break a law to break this rule. Basic civility is the minimum requirement for participation here.

3. Accuracy and Misinformation

Only share information you genuinely believe to be accurate. If you're uncertain, it's perfectly fine to ask or to acknowledge that uncertainty. Deliberate misinformation or misleading claims may be removed.

4. Scientific Integrity

This channel values evidence-based discussion. Claims should be backed by credible scientific research or clearly marked as personal opinion. Pseudoscience, conspiracy theories, and unsubstantiated medical or psychological claims are not permitted.

5. Legal Compliance

Do not promote, encourage, or describe illegal activities, including drug use, piracy, copyright infringement, hacking, or anything that violates local or international law.

6. Constructive Communication

Use respectful language at all times. No profanity aimed at others, no personal attacks, and no insults. Focus on ideas rather than individuals. Disagreements are fine - hostility is not.

7. Stay On-Topic

Keep discussions relevant to lucid dreaming or the subject of the video. Significantly off-topic comments may be removed to maintain quality.

8. No Trolling or Bad-Faith Participation

While humour is welcome, trolling, baiting, or disruptive behaviour will lead to comment deletion or banning.

9. References to Other Creators

To maintain focus and avoid unnecessary drama, please don't name or directly reference other YouTube creators, channels, or brands unless they are explicitly mentioned in my videos. This includes both praise and criticism. This channel stands on its own merit.

10. No Unauthorised Self-Promotion or Advertising

Promotion of your own content, products, or services is not permitted without prior written approval. Unsolicited advertising or spam will be removed and repeat offenders will be banned.

11. Protect Privacy

Never share personal details - yours or anyone else's - such as names, addresses, or contact information. Respect privacy and personal boundaries.

12. No Spam or Repetitive Posting

Avoid repeating the same comment, flooding threads, or posting meaningless text or emoji chains. Such behaviour will be treated as spam and may result in a ban.

13. Sensitive Content Restrictions

Avoid graphic, sexual, or violent descriptions. If discussing mental health, trauma, or sensitive experiences, do so respectfully and without unnecessary detail.

14. Personal Accountability

You are responsible for what you post. Consider whether your contribution adds to the conversation before submitting it.

15. Comment Response Expectations

I read as many comments as possible, but I cannot reply to everyone. Please don't spam or demand responses. Many questions are already answered in other videos, descriptions, or previous comments.

16. No Spoilers or Content Summaries

Do not post bullet-point summaries, timestamp guides, or spoilers that reveal key moments before others watch. These harm the experience and the channel's performance. Such posts will be deleted and may result in a ban.

17. No Impersonation

Impersonating me, my moderators, or anyone else will result in an immediate permanent ban and may be reported to YouTube.

18. Respect Intellectual Property

Do not post copyrighted content (text, images, video, or audio) without permission or attribution.

19. Keep It Age-Appropriate

The channel is open to general audiences. Please keep your comments suitable for all viewers.

20. No Armchair Diagnosis or Medical Advice

Do not diagnose other commenters with medical or psychological conditions, and do not offer medical advice. Sharing personal experiences is fine; prescribing solutions to others is not.

Violations may result in:

• Temporary or permanent loss of live chat privileges

• Permanent ban from all channel participation

• Reporting to YouTube for serious Terms of Service violations
   

Important Notes About Bans

• All bans are permanent unless I explicitly say otherwise

• Bans are final and non-negotiable

• Appeals may be submitted but will only be considered in exceptional circumstances

• Creating alternate accounts to bypass a ban will result in those accounts also being banned and reported

• Bans are enforced using YouTube's built-in moderation tools and apply across all channel features
   

Channel Membership and Rules

Channel memberships give access to exclusive content and perks. However:

• Membership does not guarantee commenting or chat privileges

• Membership does not exempt anyone from these community rules

• Violating the rules may result in permanent loss of commenting/chat access without refund

• Membership fees pay for access to content, not the right to participate

I and my moderators have full discretion in interpreting and enforcing these rules. Context, intent, and history may be considered when deciding appropriate action.
