Hello everyone, I hope you are all well. Recently since trying to get into lucidity, I have had tiny lucid dreams where I wake up as soon as I realise I'm dreaming. Last night however, I was more successful because not only did I realise I was dreaming (doing the reality tests), I stayed in the dream longer. Daniel Love also made an appearance and I remembered he would always ask people, 'Are you dreaming?' He didn't say this. In one part over the dream I was flying over a very pretty town.

Without knowing much about the circumstances around the dreams / sleep stages in question: To me, that first part sounds like you've been having actual lucid dreams, just they've been short! That means you're making great progress, so you should be proud in any case!
As you probably know from Love's content, waking up quickly is very, very common for "newbie" lucid dreamers. It may be that you were reaching the end of the REM period in question, and your brain was gearing up its critical faculties to prepare for waking anyway (and this may have helped you realise you were dreaming) -- or the realisation may have shocked you awake. Both of these are still quite common scenarios for me.
And as for fake lucid dreams: As Love says in this video, these are also a good sign. It shows that your dreaming mind is thinking about lucid dreaming, which is good progress.
So whatever the case may have been, well done!
Also it may have been a fake lucid dream but I certainly dreamt about having a lucid dream if nothing else.
